At the new Timbertrain Coffee Depot in East Van, we end up talking with a group of fully kitted out roadies. The Depot looks a lot like a high end garage. Which makes it all the more appropriate that their expensive carbon bikes are safely parked inside, leaning against a concrete wall.

Timbertrain Coffee Depot is their pit stop of choice this morning for a leisurely breakfast. We ask where they’re headed. They pause in between bites of flaky pastry. Review of Nero Belgian Waffle Bar (Yaletown): Our Search for Vancouver’s Best Coffee

The new Nero Belgian Waffle Bar in downtown Vancouver is an eye candy of sorts, and is Stop 100 in our Search for Vancouver’s Best Coffee.

This wintry Boxing Day, downtown’s new Nero Belgian Waffle Bar squarely occupies Stop 100 of our Search for Vancouver’s Best Coffee. It seems like an obvious choice.

For one, good coffee and brunch go together so handily in this town. And two, the sight of Vancouver snow is starting to really get to us. So we prescribed an appointment for brunch at Nero’s. If you perk up at the sight of eye candy, you might consider dropping by for a psychological lift, as well.
